The Itinerary
Day 1
Fethiye - Gemiler Island
Day 2
Gemiler Island - Kalkan - Kaş
- Perfect weather for a long day of cruising
- Lovely stops for swimming in warm water
Day 3
Kaş - Furnoz Bay
- 90 minute trip into Kaş for shopping and sightseeing after breakfast
- Anchored in a gorgeous bay for the afternoon and night, next to a cranky man on a sailboat
Day 4
Furnoz Bay - Federico Bay - Uçağiz - Simena Castle
- We left Furnoz Bay before breakfast to escape the bugs, anchoring near a pirate cafe for most of the day
- Emergency visit to the village of Üçağız to replenish dwindling supply of Diet Coke
- Anchored at the bast of Simena Castle over-night
Day 5
Simena Castle - Sunken City of Kekova - Üçağız - Baby William Bay
- Climbed to the top of Simena Castle before breakfast
- Cruised past the Sunken City of Kekova on our way to Üçağız harbour, where we filled the fresh water tanks and explored the tiny fishing village
- Anchored at a nearby bay for the remainder of the day, waiting out high winds
Day 6
Baby William Bay - Five Islands - Kalkan - Firnaz Bay
- Early morning departure from the Kekova region, stopping for breakfast at a small collection of islands on the border between Greece and Turkey
- After breakfast and time for swimming in the spectacularly clear water, we lifted anchor and made our way to Kalkan for some shopping and exploration
- Spent the night in Firnaz Bay near Kalkan
Day 7
Firnaz Bay - Gemiler Island - Tarzan Bay
- Early start from Firnaz Bay, a mostly smooth journey
- Sailed into Butterfly Valley but the waves were too big for a visit
- Ian won the 2023 Cribbage Challenge
Day 8
Tarzan Bay - Fethiye Harbour
