Our Day on the Trail

Day 18 on our Lycian Trail adventure has definitely been a favourite. A longer trail at 15KM, but interesting and diverse terrain, without extreme climbs or scary crossings.

We visited two ancient cities - Apollonia in the morning and Aperlai in the afternoon.

We had a relaxed start to the day, and lingered over breakfast, so our biggest challenge today was reaching our final destination (Üçağız) before sunset. Mission accomplished!

Still no major injuries or blisters, no crying, and plenty of trail mix. Life is good, and the adventure continues!

2 ancient cities, 5 herds of goats, 1 wild boar (deceased), and 3 ducks

It was another amazing day on the Lycian Trail! The weather has been incredible for hiking - t-shirt weather in January! Here's hoping Mother Nature continues to cooperate as we make our way East.
