Our Day on the Trail

Day 20 of our Lycian Trail adventure took us from Simena Castle (Kaleköy) to the sandy beach at Demre Harbour (Çayağzı).

We cruise the Gökkaya region frequently, and it is a beautiful stretch of coastline, so it was no surprise that our hike took us through spectacular scenery as well. Most of today's trail paralleled the coast and wasn't particularly steep. Markers were missing near Kapaklı, so we got a bit lost for about 15 minutes, but otherwise, it was a lovely day.
