The Carian Coast is a bit more rugged and rustic than the ever-popular Lycian Coast, offering a glimpse into historic sites and nature that most visitors to Turkey will never see. Guests on this itinerary are virtually guaranteed to spot Loggerhead Sea Turtles and a variety of protected bird species while exploring the Dalyan Delta by water taxi.

At a Glance: Exploring the Carian Coast
Day 1
- We'll depart from Fethiye harbour around 2:00PM
- The first leg of this journey is about 3 hours, stopping at Ağa Limanı for the evening. The bay is a lovely spot for wildlife spotting, and has hiking access to historic ruins.
Day 2
- Captain Oktay and the crew have an morning start to ensure calm waters and 3 hour cruise across open water to Ekincik. You're welcome to join the crew on deck, or sleep until a more civilized hour.
- At Ekincik, you have the option of hiring a water taxi to take you on a tour of the Dalyan Delta - including Iztuzu Beach (protected breeding grounds for endangered sea turtles), the ancient city of Kaunos and the resort town of Dalyan.
- Remainder of day spent enjoying the exquisite peace and quiet of a bay near Ekincik.
Day 3
- After breakfast, we'll head to Gokgemile Bay. This relatively unknown bay has some of the clearest, bluest water we've ever seen. In fact, it is the location where we captured the "flying boat" picture appearing on our homepage. Because it's a bit off the beaten path, you'll likely have the entire bay to yourself for the rest of the day.
Day 4
- Four hour trip around the Peninsula and across the Gulf of Fethiye to Ölüdeniz, where we'll anchor for a couple of hours.
- After lunch, we'll lift anchor for the short journey to Gemiler Island. Sue will hike the island with anyone who wants to see the ruins.
Day 5
- Breakfast will be served enroute as we make the three-hour journey back to Fethiye harbour. Disembark around 10:30AM
